Benevolence Report 1/2/2012

As you know, Gamma Phi held a Christmas breakfast in honor of Gamma Phi’s widows on December 22, 2012. Two widows were sick at the time and could not attend. Both have passed this week. Mrs. Myrna Dixon, the widow of Brother Jared Dixon (Gamma Phi 1958) is being funeralized today at John Wesley United Methodist Church (901 Benton Ave, Nashville, TN). Visitation is from 11am – noon with the funeral service to follow. She was 91 years of age. Her great nephew is a frat Brother, Brother Kenneth Laws (Rho Psi ’80). He lives in Murfreesboro, TN. You can reach out to him with words of encouragement and UPLIFT at: kennydee569@gmail.com.

Mrs. Lillie Thomas Boyd, the sister of frat Brothers Joe, Frank and Fred Thomas (all deceased) passed on New Years Eve. She was 106 years of age. Her funeral arrangements have not been made as of yet. I will email you as soon as I get news of the services. Mrs. Lillie was a part of the Omega Widows Assist Program and we have helped around her house on several occasions. I have attached a picture of Mrs. Lillie with Brothers on a work project on 10/15/11. She wore her purple and gold in honor of the frat.

Please keep the families lifted.
